"This class has I think helped my overall work attitude for the better.  It has made me less lazy and less hesitant to try new things.  I can't really say what the best thing in this class was because it was all very interesting and useful information.  I think this information will be very useful to me in my future in the technology-based world."

"I do believe, anyone with a thirst for knowledge can master every aspect of this class, the only thing limiting an individual's ability to learn is the individual himself.  This class prepares the potential technology career-directed individual with the basics needed to succeed in today's world."

"TeraU will help me very much in the future to understand more complex programming languages such as C++.  I have learned that I can rely on myself to do things right even when it seems like I have been completely overwhelmed.  It gives us an idea of how the world relies on things, and how every little bit counts."

"The TeraU class has given me a whole new knowledge of scripting languages and Internet properties, as well as a greater knowledge of computer processes and personality types.  I have learned that relating to people is a crucial part of everyday life and finding common ground is essential to making progress.  The criteria in this class have opened my eyes to a whole new world of technology that I was never aware of previously.  I have also been presented with the task of working with several different personality types, which has prepared me for the group work that is expected in the work environment.  I think this class's criteria has adequately prepared me to excel in today's ever changing environment."

"The class has changed me a lot.  I've learned how to work with co-workers more efficiently and effectively.  I can also apply what I have learned to today's jobs because of the TeraU class, since it has taught me what businesses look for in an employee.  The most valuable thing I have learned from the TeraU class is that I now know how to create my own business, professional web site.  I believe the criteria I learned in TeraU will help me out immensely in the ever-changing environment today.  Now after taking the TeraU class, I know I have an advantage against others who are looking for a job whether it's the same or different."

"I feel that learning to write code taught me to pay more attention to details.  Learning code takes a lot of discipline so I've also become more patient than I used to be.  It's quite difficult to pinpoint one specific thing that is the most valuable, as nearly everything learned in the class is sure to prove to be valuable.  Learning business skills more specifically interview tactics, however, I consider to be the most valuable.  I think that the criteria covered in the class will prove to be extremely helpful in today's environment.  The business skills portion was all about excelling in business.  I also think that this section was helpful because often in rural areas, students have little exposure to the business world."

"TeraU has given me the ability to think more into things, to make decisions based on the information that I get from those minor details.  It's given me the ability to work with others in a more efficient way, and to not just take in their ideas for input but possibilities.  I think that the business skills, web development, and people skills taught and learned in the TeraU class will help me to excel in today's ever-changing business environment."

"I have taken both the Networking and the Web Development portions of the TeraU class, and have already found them to be beneficial.  I have created several web sites that are up to par with modern day sites.  It has changed me by giving me an opportunity to help people out, and give me a possible source of income.  I have learned the importance of treating customers right, using tactful language with clients and prospective clients, and, of course, the technical skills of web design.  However, TeraU never lowered the importance of business skills in place of the technical skills.  They both had importance in this class.  I will be much more able to compete with other applicants when getting a job, due to the nice addition to the resume that this class gives, as well as the interview skills taught."

"Our experience with the TeraU program was excellent.  The students and instructors were not only creative and insightful but very cooperative with us in the design and use of the web site.  Not only did they 'deal' with our comments and suggestions, but actually encouraged them.  The benefit of the DuQuoin ESDA web site is best seen in its use during the Tamaroa train derailment situation in February 2003, when the press and state officials commented extremely favorably when they accessed the site for the situation information.  It is a great testimonial to the professionalism and benefit of the program."

"One of the greatest needs in today's business environment is availability of trained information technology professionals.  The TeraU program provides students the opportunity to understand basic information technology concepts and prepare for future information technology careers.  This is a professional program that offers a unique business/education partnership."

"Thank you for your recent letter regarding Ashley's progress in the TeraU program.  Ashley has enjoyed the classes very much.  She has always had an interest in computers, and this program has challenged her.  She often comes home to tell of new things learned.  We often hear of the 'big books' they use and we feel that is only a good preparation for the college experience that will come this fall.  Ashley does keep a job along with her summer program and is most organized with her time.  We only wish you all had a 'keeping your room clean' program.  Thanks again for offering such a rewarding program for students in this area."
